James Allen is currently writing a book about the aspirations and failures of the new wave of winemaking pioneers in the 1970s and 1980s in Napa and Sonoma.
He has been invited to Moscow, Russia to speak on the subject of Andre Tchelistcheff, the founder of modern winemaking in California.
